Подаю слова очевидца:
Before McG came out, the IGN presenter said that the film will be released on Thursday, May 21, 2009, and he repeated this information again at the end of the panel. I don't know if he screwed up his info or if the release date has indeed been moved up. And Arcman, McG didn't say anything about when the next trailer would come out, but my money is on Watchmen. The clip that they showed was essentially an extended trailer.
Before screening the footage, McG said that he would take the feedback and suggestions from the crowd and share them with Conrad Buff - they are still cutting the film.
So on with the footage:
"What day? What year?"
We see a shot of Marcus confused and shocked at his new environment, he's looking at something, when suddenly, a huge explosion takes place in the background, the impact shoving Marcus forward. This was the same shot of Marcus in the first teaser trailer.
Cut to
Kyle Reese and Marcus Wright. "What happened here?" "Judgment Day happened". We get brief shots of the human camps - very dark, basically an extended montage from what we see in the trailer.
Cut to
An aerial shot of John Connor riding on a Mototerminator on an open road - it doesn't look half bad on film, and there were no brakes or gas pedals. He's just laying on that thing, carefully, as it takes him to his destination.
Cut to
A montage of scenes from the tanker chase. Looks very good, dramatic, and action-packed. New shots mixed with what we saw in the trailer. From what little I saw, I was already able to pick up the homages to T2.
Now everything I describe after this point will be in no particular order:
* We see shots of the camps being liberated.
* One shot where Connor and his men enter a dark, dungeon like room full of cages where humans are trapped.
* Funny scene between Marcus and Kyle. Kyle is driving the jeep, albeit poorly, and Marcus stops him and says, "The idea here is to stay alive". Marcus then proceeds to literally push Kyle out of the car with a single shove - Kyle actually falls out of his seat onto the ground, and Marcus says, "I'll drive".
* We get a lot of Blair in this trailer. If I remember correctly, her plane gets attacked by an HK, which happened to fire plasma beams. After Kyle, Starr, and Virginia get captured, Marcus finds Blair, and she tells them that his friends have been taken to Skynet. Marcus is determined to go after them.
* We see shots of the camp fire scene with a voice over from Blair - "You can either spend your life feeling guilty or get up and keep fighting" - something along those lines. Some romantic shots of Blair and Marcus, one where she is cuddling her head against his chest, and another where she's about to kiss him. In other shots, they walk together across some devastated landscapes - looks very grim.
* We see the scene where Blair is about to kick the ass of those guys who want to take advantage of her. "They can carry you home when I'm done with you." I like what I see so far with Blair's character - she doesn't seem to be one of those wasted characters who are just there for the sex appeal.
* We see a shot of Marcus tightly and affectionately holding Starr in order to protect her from the debris of an explosion. Starr is going to be the Newt of this film.
* Ironside. Total and pure badass this General Ashdown will be. Connor enters Ashdown's quarters, and Ashdown says, "Connor, I admire your valor in the field, but...what the hell are you doing here?" We then get a shot of Connor's stern face in reaction to Ashdown. Then we see Connor sitting down in that room, across from Ashdown and his men, and he tells them "Skynet is capturing humans for R and D research. They want to grow living tissue for the T-800. If we let these things go online, then this war is over". Bale's Connor voice isn't like his Batman voice, there is a distinct difference. After seeing this clip, I can definitely see what Bale meant when he said that he wanted to show that "in-blood craziness" given to him from Sarah Connor. I think Connor in this film will be a lot like Sarah from T2, a total hard ass.
* Connor is in a resistance command center, with technicians on computers behind him. He is speaking to Ashdown's troops over the telecom, "Game plan has changed. Abort the mission". Ashdown: "Negative! DO NOT ABORT! STAY THE COURSE". Connor (pissed off): "If we stay the course, WE ARE DEAD, WE ARE ALLLL DEAD!".
* John Connor in his little bunker over the radio: "If you are listening to this, you are the Resistance!" Once he says that line, we get individual shots of Starr, Kyle, Blair, and Marcus. It's also interesting to note that Connor had a wedding ring on his left ring finger, nice touch.
* We get some shots of Kate, and one shot in particular where she's speaking to John in a room (probably the bunker).
* The Marcus/Connor face off: Extended dialogue. "You tried to kill my mother, Sarah Connor. You killed my father, Kyle Reese. You will not kill me." It's interesting that he would give away his father's identity to Marcus, given the fact that Marcus knows who Kyle is. McG wasn't kidding when he said that this film was in part about saving Kyle's life and preserving the future.
* We get shots of Kyle, Starr, and Virginia in the camps - Kyle tells them, "Stay alive here (points to his head), and stay alive here (pointing to his heart)".
* There's another shot of Kyle, he's smirking, talking to someone off-screen, and says, "We have to find this guy!" - I'm pretty positive he was talking about Connor. In this trailer, Yelchin's resemblance to Michael Biehn was simply UNCANNY.
* We see the flesh generator and the interiors of the Skynet labs. We get an extended version of the scene where Marcus throws the chair at the glass. He's essentially wearing a hospital gown, and he's trying to escape. We see shots of T-800s having flesh grafted onto them on tables, and I saw what looked to be a lot of human looking scientists working on these flesh covered Terminators. I assume that Marcus' battle damage will get repaired.
* Shots of T-800 endoskeletons being constructed: one in particular had a T-800 skull having its eyes inserted in by a machine on an assembly line. Really cool stuff.
* The scene where John Connor walks across the battlefield after the destruction of the T-600 and the helicopter crash was extended here as well. As Connor walks, the camera pans to the destruction of the T-600 endo and the helicopter, and then that wreckage slowly fades into the wreckage we see being soaked by rain, as Marcus wakes up and screams into the sky, covered entirely in mud.
* Lots of shots of war footage - troops running towards a hill, ready to jump off.
* That shot where Barnes and Marcus are carrying John was reversed. In other words, in the trailer, Marcus is on his left, and Barnes is on his right, but in this footage, it was Barnes on his left and Marcus on his right.
* We see John holding the photo of Sarah Connor - it is Linda Hamilton from T1, but IT IS NOT the same picture. Same scene, but different shot from a different take probably. Remember, Cameron gave this copy to McG - it was probably left overs from the T1 production.
* We see many shots of John riding a regular motorcycle, not just a mototerminator. That scene in the trailer where he's jumping across a bridge on the motorcycle - that's Connor.
* Still no sign of Serena.
Additional notes and thoughts from the panel:
* McG talked about meeting Brad Fiedel, and he said that the reason why he didn't get him onboard was because he didn't want "this to feel like a sequel, but rather, a new beginning". McG did confirm he wants to honor Fiedel at all times, and his classic themes will be used.
* It was Bale's idea to initially get Jonah Nolan to fix up the script.
* McG wished that Cameron would have been more supportive of the project, but he understands where Cameron was coming from with his neutrality.
* Once again, McG compared Connor to Neo, Luke Skywalker, and Peter Parker.
* When asked about Linda Hamilton's involvement, McG kept quiet but had this to say: "This film is about sustaining that triangle/loop where Kyle Reese goes back in time to conceive John with Sarah. That triangle must be protected, so Sarah must have an important presence in this film".
* This film can be best described as a "becoming" film for both Connor and Reese.
